Vastu House Plans North East Facing: Essential Aspects for Harmony and Well-being

In Vastu Shastra, the ancient Indian system of architecture, the direction a house faces plays a crucial role in its energy flow and the overall well-being of its occupants. North-east facing houses are considered particularly auspicious, and their design should adhere to specific Vastu principles to maximize their positive effects.

1. Entrance and Main Door

According to Vastu, the main entrance of a north-east facing house should be positioned in the north-east or north-west zone. The door should open clockwise, towards the north or west. A brass or copper threshold with an Om symbol placed on the floor in front of the door is considered auspicious.

2. Pooja Room

The pooja room, dedicated to spiritual practices, should be located in the north-east corner of the house. This zone is associated with divine energy and provides a serene atmosphere for worship. The idols or deities should be placed facing east, and the door should open clockwise.

3. Kitchen

The kitchen, a symbol of prosperity and nourishment, should be situated in the south-east corner of the house. The stove should face east, and the sink should be in the north-east corner. Avoid placing the kitchen in the north-west zone, as it can lead to financial difficulties.

4. Bedrooms

The master bedroom should be in the south-west corner of the house, with the bed positioned against the south or west wall. This zone promotes restful sleep and intimacy. Children's bedrooms should be in the west or south-east zones, while guest rooms can be in the north-west.

5. Living Room

The living room, a place for gathering and socializing, should be located in the north-west or north zone of the house. The sofa or chairs should be arranged facing east or north. Avoid placing heavy furniture in the north-east zone, as it can block positive energy flow.

6. Bathroom and Toilet

Bathrooms and toilets should ideally be in the south-east or north-west zones of the house. The toilet should be facing south, and the bathroom should have a north-facing window for ventilation. Avoid placing these facilities in the north-east or south-west zones, as they can bring health issues.

7. Water Elements and Open Spaces

Incorporating water elements such as a fountain or pond in the north-east zone is highly auspicious in Vastu. Open spaces like balconies or courtyards in the north-east promote positive energy flow and bring in natural light.

By adhering to these Vastu principles, north-east facing houses can create a harmonious and balanced living environment that supports the well-being, prosperity, and spiritual growth of its occupants.
