Robin Bird House Plans: A Step-by-Step Guide to Building a Cozy Home for Your Feathered Friends

Materials Needed:

* 1x6 pine boards (1 piece) * 1/2-inch plywood (1 piece) * 1-inch dowel rod (1 piece) * Wood screws * Nails * Hammer * Drill * Saw * Sander * Paint or stain (optional)

Instructions:

Cut the Wood:

* Cut the 1x6 pine board into the following pieces: * 2 pieces that are 6 inches long * 2 pieces that are 5 inches long * 1 piece that is 4 inches long * 2 pieces that are 3 inches long * Cut the 1/2-inch plywood into a 6-inch square. 2.

Assemble the Birdhouse:

* Attach the two 6-inch pieces of pine board to the plywood square using wood screws. These will form the front and back of the birdhouse. * Attach the two 5-inch pieces of pine board to the sides of the birdhouse using wood screws. * Attach the 4-inch piece of pine board to the bottom of the birdhouse using wood screws. * Attach the two 3-inch pieces of pine board to the top of the birdhouse using wood screws. These will form the eaves of the birdhouse. 3.

Add the Dowel Rod:

* Drill a hole in the center of the front of the birdhouse, about 1 inch from the top. * Insert the dowel rod into the hole. This will serve as a perch for the robins. 4.

Add the Finishing Touches:

* Sand the birdhouse smooth. * Paint or stain the birdhouse, if desired. * Allow the birdhouse to dry completely. 5.

Hang the Birdhouse:

* Choose a location that is sheltered from the wind and rain. * Hang the birdhouse from a tree or post using a sturdy hook or wire. * Make sure the birdhouse is high enough off the ground so that predators can't reach it.
